Hey guys,

The double cab long bed wheelbase is 140" according to toyotas site which is longer than the "max" allowed with uhaul, penske or budget car haulers. Has anyone successfully put their DCLB on one of these? I don't know how conservative their max length measurements are or if there is no way the truck would fit.

OP did you ever try towing your DCLB? I have a road trip in the near future and would like to tow my DCLB on a trailer vice a dolly.

I actually own 3 Budget Truck Rental dealerships....

You won't get a DC long bed on a U-Haul or Penske trailer. You won't get it on most Budget trailers... However, Budget does have a few tilt back style trailers that your truck will technically fit on. However, Budget will stay say it won't work. What you are looking for is called an ACC trailer from Budget. They are a flat bed style with a large rear gate on them... you will know if if you see it.

If you can find one of those trailers from Budget and just tell them you are towing a camry or something you could get away with it.

Alternative is you could rent a tow dolly and take the drive shaft loose. DO NOT try to tow on a dolly with the rear wheels on the dolly.

Also, I will deny this post should Budget ever ask...lol

Have you tried to put a DCLB on the ACC trailer, or is it a hypothetical that it will fit?

I'm planning on moving soon and I'm trying to secure a ACC trailer with my local Budget dealer with little success (they say they don't have any in stock). I'm wondering if I should just reserve a dolly and avoid the hassle.

Will other trailers work? I saw on the Budget website that there are TCC and RCC also. I know the SAT won't work.
