Good morning, this is my first post in Tacoma World. I live in rural Montana and have enjoyed my Toyota to the fullest. The "big" truck world of Fords, Chevys, and Dodges are envious of my Toyota every time they drive by. I see the gleen in their eyes as they get 12 miles to the gallon in their lifted truck and over size tire. I love my Tacoma, but recently it is giving me problems. I purchased the truck three years ago and have done quite a bit of work to it.

Last spring I had a new head gasket, ERG, plugs wires, transmission fluid changed, fuel pump and filter replaced.

This past fall I bought brand new tires and rear shocks for it. All in all close to $2000.00 invested in the truck.

Will be posting in the appropriated place asking for assistance with my latest issue.

Saw your other post regarding the timing chain...what sort of mileage do you have on the truck?

Hellow fellow Big Skyer. My truck has 177,000 mile on it.

My best guess with my limited mechanic skills would be like my mechanic guestimated by listening to it, the timing chain cover or possible a valve ticking. But who knows!!!! Frustrated:mad:
