Possibly a stupid question ! Rear bumper

I have to replace my rear bumper, I've been shopping around and I really dont want to shell out the $900+ dollars for the replacement stock assembly. My original bumper was the step & color matched. I was considering switching to a chrome one, because I've been finding them cheaper. Reading the item description it says "REAR STEP BUMPER CHROME ASSY, WITH PADS, BRACKET,REINFORCE BAR, LICENSE LAMP. 2005-2012 TOYOTA TACOMA 4.OL PRERUNNER MODEL W/O SPORT PKG WITH SR5 2005-2012 TOYOTA TACOMA 2.7L WITH SR5"
My truck is the TRD Sport package w/ the towing package as well, since it says with out sport package does that mean it wont work for my truck? Or just that it is supposed to be for SR5, or both I suppose? Any and all help is appreciated, sorry if its a ridiculous question, still learning.

it will fit the truck it just means it is for a truck that didnt come with a sport package

 

Bumpers should be interchangable with all the model trucks. Frames are same, so brackets will line up.

 

x2 this is true look at all the aftermarket bumpers they all fit the same years

 

Have you thought about after market bumpers? There are some very nice ones out there. I know the next time I need one I will be going with an after market bumper.

Check your local Craigslist, my dad backed into me last year and put a fist sized dent in the corner of my bumper. I lucked onto one on Craigslist off of a 2012. The guy that had it had put a steel plate bumper on his rig and sold me his stock chrome bumper for $100.00! My truck is a sport, but for the price I couldn't pass it up! I can always get it color matched later if I want to, but it looks pretty sharp in chrome. It was easy to swap out too. PM me if have questions about swapping them.
