Does anyone know if I can put a use 96-02 4runner one piece driveshaft on my Access Cab Prerunner? I've been told that Tom Woods does them, but I called. him and he only does 4X4s. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've got a mean vibration at launch that needs to be attended to.

4" lift spindles up front. 1.5" progressive AALs and 2" blocks in the rear.

I believe the 4X4 DS is shorter due to the transfer case behind the trans.

I believe the 4runner shaft has to be lengthened even for the 4X4 Tacos. I'm just looking for someone who may have experience with putting one in a Prerunner.

Dude come on. The drive shafts are different. It's obvious in the pics that it is not a prerunner. If you would like to start a debate about driveshafts and what they have attaching them to the transmission, you can start a new post. I'll gladly join you. For now, please only comment if you have something useful to say regarding my original post.

I would recommend contacting Tom Wood and ask the pros, these guys make Drivelines for 'ALL' off-road types.

I find that hard to believe as they make custom DL's, there is a measurement table and configuration sheet that you can fill out as far as universal style, cardon type or not and so on. These are made to order custom DL's

Thanks man!!! I'm definitely gonna check these guys out!

I'm gonna look into this a little further. Maybe the guy who answered the phone didn't know what he was talking about. He mention the problem being the location of the slip yolk on the prerunners. On the prerunners, the slip yolk is how the driveshaft comes in contact with the transmission. Its not like the 4X4s that have the driveshaft bolt to the transfer case.
