My 2012 Tacoma also wanders at freeway speeds. Have to constantly correct it. When I first got it the truck tracked good. But turns out that toe was way out and I was getting cupping. After they aligned it the cupping went away but now it wanders. Had it back in to the dealer once they said it's set to Toyota specs. It annoys me to no end that I'll have to take it to a tire shop and have them adjust caster on a brand new vehicle so it will drive properly. On top of that stupid dealer tire jockeys have dinged up my powder coated rims while rotating tires. Have to constantly correct while driving shouldn't happen.

Maybe it is a WA thing..lol. I took mine to the dealership and of course everything is perfect....yet it is not. It is really annoying to have to constantly nudge the steering wheel while driving on almost any road.

Is the Taco the only truck that has both rack and pinion steering plus MacPherson struts on the front suspension?

No MacPherson struts on our trucks. It's double wishbone. If it was MacPherson then it wouldn't have an upper ball joint, and the strut would be an extension of the knuckle and would function as the upper rotating pivot.

My '09 would wander towards the right just a wee bit. My '07 goes a touch to the left but it won't leave the lane for several hundred yards after letting go of the wheel. Both have proven quite twitchy in crosswinds.

Crosswinds are fine in mine. Having to counter steer keeps the wandering down.

It kind of depends on how high the center of the road is... I have to correct mine to either side depending on which lane I am in.
