No need to disconnect the battery IMO. I store all my cars for 6 months every year with the battery connected. Never had an issue.

You're battery will definitely be dead if you don't. Mine sat for about 2 months and the periodic fuel systems checks that occur (whatever that is called exactly, I can't remember off the top of my head) had drained my battery dead. Although I just had to jump it and the battery is fine.

All the guys on the Ducati forum that store their bikes for the winter post up they hook up a "battery tender". Just get one, hook it up to the battery with the battery still connected and forget about it.

I guess if you really like, you can throw in bottle of fuel stabilizer

I dont know if 6 months on tires may leave tiny flat spots? Ideally I'd imagine put it on 4 jack stands, but that may be a bit OCD.

Im in the same boat. Storing my truck for 1yr+.

    I plan on disconnecting battery.
Leaving 1/4 tank of fuel with a stabilizer
All 4 wheels off the ground
    Car Cover
    DCON placed around storage unit.

*Also clean the hell out of it before storage.

Dump in the recommended amount of fuel stabilizer in your gas, run the truck for a few miles to run it through the system, and hook how battery tender. That's what we do with all our vehicles and it works great.

when i deployed for 6 months, i disconnected the battery, topped off the tank, added the fuel stabilizer and that was it. came back 6 months later, connected the battery, and drove it away.

Thats what I do with my motorcycle. I remove battery and charge it periodically throughout the winter and I also top of the fuel tank with the appropriate amount of fuel stabilizer and run the engine for a bit before I store it.

caution 1/4 tank of gas, that will leave part of the gas gauge sending unit high and dry. i know i did that with another truck and the fuel sending unit never worked after that. the top part of the sending unit where the contacts are dried up, unit was toast.

Fill the tank with gasoline before storage and add stabilizer. 1/4 tank will collect condensate more so than a full tank.
