Ok folks, first time owning a 4X4. I have a 2010 Double cab SR5. The gas pedal seems very stiff, is this common or do I need to look into something? Thanks in advance.

Encouragement to help you save gas. If it went down too easy your consumption would be dramatically impacted.

The folks at Toyota though of everything

I would guess it's heavy so people in boots can still drive safely. You know, more typical truckwear. With my steel-toed boots it feels perfect; with my casuals it feels like it takes some effort.

My Honda Fit was so soft I added an extra spring and the Tacoma still takes slightly more pedal effort. Of course, everything about that car was small... only time in my life I've accidentally pushed all 3 pedals at once with a hunting boot.
