    Howdy all!

I've been doing some research online regarding repairs and upgrades for my 1995.5 Tacoma, and these forums kept coming up on Google, so it seemed like good sense to join up.

I've been an avid off-roader since before I had my driver's license. Except for a brief flirtation with streetcars (a Datsun 710 of some vintage or another, and a '73 Mustang), I owned nothing but Jeeps between 1989 and 2008. Had some great times over the years, and learned far more than I ever wanted to know about modifications and field repairs...

Ironically, I bought the Tacoma to use as a parts hauler on my last Jeep build, a 1969 CJ-5 with a Buick 225. But, when the economy tanked, and I was forced to sell the jeep and most of my shop tools, I managed to hang on to the truck by the skin of my teeth.

That was certainly a bit of good luck. I've known plenty of guys over the years who swore by their Hilux pickups, and after getting to know my own truck a bit, I can see what the fuss is all about! :headbang:

I have a ton of hilarious stories from years of backcountry adventures to share, and lots of questions to ask about this, that, and the other thing, so I hope y'all don't mind if I make myself at home around here. Good times!
