longboards on tacos with roof racks?

I have a double cab 4x4 2011 tacoma short bed. I have been looking for pictures of guys who might be carrying long boards(surfing) on rook racks like thule or yakimas. But I don't see much. What I want to find out is if the racks can be spread out far enough for 9'6" or 10" longboards. Any help would be great.
