    i was but they where like we have to try this first and some other bs. all i know is this will be my last toyota.

    Can't say that I blame you. How many times has it screwed up? If it screws up a third time you should be covered by the lemon law.

    For the lemon law to kick in you would have to have a failure of an individual component three times. Did you buy the truck new or used?

    This can happen if there is debris in the barrels that house the vvt oil control valves. If the debris is not thoroughly cleaned out, it will keep getting stuck in the oil control valve on start up. A timing code can be thrown in this situation, even though the chain may not have actually skipped timing.
