So I finally bought all the pieces for aftermarket subs to go along with the infinite audio system and the touch screen display.

After a couple hours of bolting, unbolting, removing toyota parts, hiding wires, and tuning the amp, the subs were finally installed.

With the knob hidden in the side storage (picture is not mine, forgot to take one before i posted this), the subs sound amazing and couldn't be happier with the fit and performance.

All i have left to do is put some fabric over all the metal parts that are now showing because I removed the plastic storage behind the seats, but that is soon to come.

I was looking at that sub enclosure as well. Are you happy with it? Is the fitment in the vehicle good?

I'm also curious if you tried running the subs with the seat backs installed - it looks like you have them removed in the pictures. I'm curious if they rattled or if they were actually coming into contact with the drivers.

 

The enclosure fits like a glove. It slides right down and in, the ports for the subs are perfect, and the wirin is done well.... It's definitely a nice box. Also it's steel reinforced so the box can handle a high RMS. my subs are at about 600watts RMS of power and the box handles it nicely and sounds great.

I do have the seat backs off... And when I do the fabric ill try to put them back in and see how they fit. I'm just worried of the subs bumping against the plastic so I haven't tried yet

Does the plastic for the back seats fit back in place? If not can you send pic of what you did to subsitute for plastic. Thanks

 

I have a dual 10" box made by Groundshaker and I've got a good 2" or so of clearance between the seat back plastics and the front of the subs.

 

I haven't replaced the plastic yet. Been to busy to try to see if it fits or not with the plastic on the back of the seats. All the other threads I've read said they fit back on without an issue so ill see when I have the time.

 

I have a question. How did you connect the sub to the terminal cups and then to the amplifier. Thanks.

 

Wired both subs to the terminal cup, then wired the cup to the amp

 

how did you wire the LOC and what wires did you tap into i am stuck and trying to figure out the wiring

 

I have the same box and you will want to keep the plastic panels off the back of the seats. If you have them there they vibrate. I initially tried to insulate them so they would not make noise, but removing was easier and you never really see the back of the seats anyway, plus with them gone I do not have to worry about the woofers touching it.

 

To install that box you have to remove the seats right that's the only way it will slide into place and then re attach the seats

 

You don't actually! You can take the plastic pieces off the back of the seats and it will slide in into place with a little maneuvering! Way easier than taking out the seats IMO

 

I had to remove them in my 2013. The fit was too snug and I did not want to damage the fabric or box by jamming it in. Could be that I did not remove the side plastic panels that curve with the back and side of the truck.

 

People say it's easier to install after the box goes in because you have a better angle and view of the box for wiring

 

Do the side panels need to be remived fir good installing this box or does it fit no issue with side panels in place?
