    Hey guys!

So I am kinda new to forums but have been reading over a bunch of the threads trying to get better info for a question I have with not much luck. So I am sorry if this is a repeated or stupid question.

I have just gotten my Bilstein 5100's adjustibles (front and back) for my Truck, which is currently stock. I plan on getting the Nitto Trail Grapplers 285/65/18's with a -12 offset on my wheels. I am wondering if anyone knows of issues I might run into with this set up becuase of personal experiance or becuase your just smart and know of one haha :). I am concerned if the lift will be big enough for that set of tires and also if my alignemnt is going to be really messed up becuase of it? If you could help me out that would be great! Thanks!!!

My point was that the 5100s that are adjustable are not for the rear...

Besides the fact that you bought the wrong shocks, yes you will need an alignment with any new suspension lift, and running these at 2.5" will give you enough clearance to run 33" tires with some minor trimming.

Rear 5100's are pretty much a direct OEM replacement shock that is a step up from OEM. They will not give you a lift in the rear.

They told you the rear 5100s would provide a 1" lift?

Sure they didn't say that you could use them WITH a 1" lift or somehting along those line?

DSMS is not in the business of screwing people over, or giving misguided information. I think they were explaining the kind of lift you could run with these 5100's.

It's all good. I am sure you can return them. I would have thought they might have asked if you REALLY wanted to order 2 pairs for FRONT shocks.....

So what I got was the front and rear package from them. I just got of the phone with them and I understand them alot better! And I think I might as well keep them because I do want to put a 1 inch lift on the back of the truck.

So now I just need to find out what would be the best option for me to add a inch to the rear of my truck.... haha hopefully I dont make another noobie mistake :)

You are the first to mention 285's with only using 5100's and not mention cab mount chop. Would you mind giving specs? Wheel size w/backspace and set hight on 5100's?
