Just bought my 2008 taco 4x4 TRD...LOVE IT!!! Some of the things im trying to work on first are pretty basic but noticable. The first thing i noticed was that the rubber trim that goes on all of the windows is spotted and seems to be drying out. the surface of it is unevan and in any other case i would say its almost mold like. tests ruled this out so i think its just dry...suggestions on bringing this back to life? will "Back to Black" or "Ice Wax" do the trick?? Thanks!!

    this and that...
back when i had my xrunner (08 model), i used to park it outside in the elements. even though i bought it new and ways detailed it, it wasnt long before the weather stripping dried out and started spotting. that was always one of my pet peeves with these tacomas. now that i have a 2013 and its parked under shelter away from the elements everyday, hopefully i can mitigate that from happening again. i used to use the back to black and it works while it stays on. i seen people actually spray them and it looks pretty good that way too.

^Exactly. No, it's not acceptable but all of ours have it. Back To Black does work well.
