    Background:
I had the 15-25 MPH driveline shudder TSB done about a month ago. This made the shudder worse than it was before, but I also noticed that my steering wheel was off to the right (still tracked straight). I brought the truck back in, told them that it's worse and I wanted it fixed, and that I also wanted my steering wheel straightened out. They straightened the steering wheel and after some bitching, opened a case with Toyota about the shudder. I have been waiting 3 weeks for them to tell me when my appointment is supposed to be with the regional rep, during which time, my truck started pulling left (it wasn't major, but for a truck with 2200 miles I found it unacceptable). So, earlier this week I took it back to the dealership and told them to fix the wander and I wanted to know when my appointment with the regional rep is. They did an alignment for me and gave me the numbers - the numbers showed that it was out of spec, but not by much. As soon as I got on the freeway to head home I noticed that the truck was tracking straight, but the damn steering wheel is off to the right again!

So, with a dealership that hasn't been super keen on working with me thus far, do I go back and say, "Guys... it's OFF TO THE RIGHT!" and hope that the third time is the charm? Or, do I try a new dealership in hopes that I don't wear out my welcome at the first one. Or, do I just deal with it for the time being and either a.) mention to the regional rep that it's off when I drive with him in 4 weeks, or b.) pay for an alignment elsewhere?

    What do I do?!

That's kind of what I'm leaning towards.

Go to an alignment shop instead of the dealer

But the OP should not have to pay out of pocket for this to be corrected imo.

Agreed, however sometimes paying $65 or whatever the cost is better than wasting your time at the dealership IMO

Another dealer. Another shop/dealer for other repairs.

True. I would consider escalating the issue by trying to contact corporate directly, since the dealer obviously doesnt have a handle on the situation.

I think I'll try a different dealership if I have time before I do a ride along with the regional rep in 4 weeks. Hopefully Bilstein 5100's are in my no-too-distant future, which will require an alignment and I'll likely just get a lifetime alignment from Firestone.

This is weird. I have a new Tacoma and the steering wheel is not centered. It's actually cocked to the left a bit and the truck does seem to pull to the right. I assumed it was the crappy roads we have here in Louisiana.
I had a car that had the same issue. Brought to the dealer and they could not figure anything out so I just gave up.
Kinda leaning toward bringing the truck in for them to check it out. The postive is my buddy is one of the mechanics so hopefully they can fix it without jerking me around.
