Keyless lock wont work after SiriusXM install

Hi all,

I just installed aftermarket SiriusXM unit on my 2005 Tacoma and now the lock button on the fob will not do anything. The unlock works fine but lock will not lock..!! Iam baffled. If anyone has had this issue before I could not find a thread on it. Any help would be great.

Installed Onyx with a FM transmitter and an antenna. Antenna is in front center of roof.

I did not pull anything apart or mess with any wires other than run the antenna wire along the W.S seal on the outside and in the passenger side floor board and up to unit.

 

Did you try your other key fob? Dead battery by coincidence?

 

Actually I tried all 3 fobs that I have and same thing... Not sure if its getting signal interference from antenna or what. I took all of the hardware back inside thinking maybe it was the FM transmitter interference but still not locking from fob, just unlock.

I installed the same unit and antenna on my wife's Highlander couple months ago and all is good there.

 

Damn! Welcome to TW ! Ya I'm not an audio guy but I won't even mess with crap like that, I'd screw it up for sure. Maybe take it back out and take it to a audio install store? Least then you got a little guarantee if the crap doesn't work again? Idk
