Billies 5100's front set to 1.75 plus 1/4 taco lean spacer. Rears Billies plus AAL for a 2" leaf. 265/75/16 BGF's. Double din Kenwood stereo w/bluetooth and steering wheel controls and JBL speakers front & rear. Heavy duty battery. Billet grill blacked out. K&N air filter and MBRP cat-back. Just tuned it up new plugs and new front brake pads. Steel powered coated tailgate cap. Billet Grill painted black & factory roof racks. Oh new head lights thanks to toyota.
I read that some members on this forum chg their oil but not the oil filter? I chg my filter every time I chg my oil. In my corvette which I only drive in the summer months. I chg the oil once a year even if I only have 1000 miles of driving w/Mobile 1. And I still chg the M1 filter.

By not changing your filter aren't you condemning the new oil?

Don't know why anyone would keep the old filter with new oil..

Always change the filter with the oil. Without question just spend the extra $5-10. It will be worth it down the road.

Always change the filter. As costly as engine repair/replacement can be, why cheap-out on a filter? Especially on a truck.

I think you misread. Many change their filters between oil changes... not the other way around. If you want to deal with the hassle, changing the filter obviously can only do good.

That makes more sense. Good answer.

I change air filter and oil filter every oil change no matter what. Every 3000 miles.

Why do you change your air filter so often?? I change my filter every 12-15,000 miles or so (sooner if it looks like it needs it).

If you run in dusty environments then I can definitely see that. I keep forgetting that some of you guys live in the desert

I don't know what the 2.7 engine is like but the filter on the 4.0 is by far the easiest and most accessible filter I've ever seen.
