There goes the rear end

How many sets have you gone through now? Have all the sets been the 3.73's or have you taken out an aftermarket set too?

I destroyed my first set on factory tires. I have 4.88's now and went up to 33's and abuse the hell out of my rig and haven't had an issue so far. I've put almost 10,000 miles on them now too.

 

Even then, I'd pull the third, pull the ring gear shrapnel, and FWD that fucker around town til they delivered my ring and pinion.

 

Depends. If it's not being warrantied by the dealership, then I'm doin' what I want til I drop it off to be worked on. But then, getting non-warranty work done by the dealership is silly in the first place.

 

A disclaimer of what? That I'm going to do what I want with my truck while it's not in their possession?

I don't get it. I know morons abound and some of them might come back with some new problem and balk when the new quote/estimate is higher than the previous one. But dealerships handle unreasonable fools all the time. They have to.

They can't keep your vehicle without consent. That's theft. At least in this state.

Note: I'm not expecting the dealership (or any shop) to GET the vehicle to FWD status. That's on the owner to do. No shop is going to touch that one for the obvious liability reasons you've pointed out.

 

Alright, I'm with you now. Yeah I was saying if they told me a week, I'd be like gimme my truck back, and call me when the parts are in.
