I've had my new 2012 Tacoma for 9 months now and just now found this forum. Not sure what I am supposed to say here except hello. :)

I got the Crew Cab Base model 4x4 short bed and added my own tow package. I debated getting the long bed, but they didn't have any base models on the lot and I was living in Boston at the time. (Hard enough to park the short bed in downtown Boston)

I researched trucks for a long time leading up to my decision to buy a Tacoma. The biggest factors were Toyota's reputation of reliability and Top Gear's episode where they tried to destroy the Hilux.

What I want to do: I plan to build an inverter and an outlet into the bed, put a steel "deer resistant" front bumper on it and get an extra set of wheels with decent off-road tires on them.

Welcome to TW. You going for a factory 400w or your own 2000w inverter?

    You are observant.

I am from Virginia but I just moved to Georgia for work. Looking for a place to live in the Dallas/Douglasville area.
I don't have many friends in the area yet, so let me know if there are any fun events going on. I love meeting new people and making new friends. :)

I would like the outlet to look as factory as possible, but I would like to put in a 2000W inverter.

    Thanks guys!!
Oh yeah, to add to the list of "to-do"s I want to add fog lights.

The more time I spend on this site, the more I think "yeah, I wanna do that to my Tacoma too. And that... and that..."

While the Tundra is more than I need, you still gotta love it:

Welcome, nice truck. A lot of people go with the base and do the upgrades them selves, which saves a lot of money through financing and what not in the long run.
