    LOOKING TO BUY
    Hello all!

I am looking into buying a Tacoma that is down the street from me and I wanted to share the sales link with you all and get your review of the truck. I already know the sales lot is SHADY but the truck and price is very tempting.

I don't know a lot about the Taco just yet but I am researching as much as I can.

    The link is:

    http://vmsreno.com/listing/2003-toyota-tacoma-doublecab-v6-4wd74k-milesoffroad-ready/

I really hope the link works :-/

Thanks a ton for any input!
    Dan

I was looking into this truck as well. It's clean everything looks in order. Was listed at $17999 but looks like they have dropped to $15999. My brother in law got a very nice Subaru from them he didn't have any issues with any SHADY activity. My brother in-law actually referred me over to them when I was looking for a Wrx. I'm from Gardnerville and this Tacoma is priced well I've seen allot on craigslist private party in our area for allot more. My problem is getting funds together in time. I would recommend taking it to a shop get a second opinion. Your right at that price it's something to look at. If you like it jump on it these trucks don't last long.

    Welcome,

It looks more like a mall crawler than anything, if it was off roaded it wasn't abused. $15k seems a little steep, almost in 2nd gen territory. Good luck

Seems like they're trying to get a better price for the mods that were done. That's probably why they had to drop the price because no one bit so far. These are very popular trucks that don't last long on car lots generally. Look up the KBB value on that vehicle first before you approach them, that could be a good place to start negotiating from. They are wanting to get the value for the mods out of it and everyone knows you generally do not get as much for those as one hopes for.
Also I can't tell what type of lift it has, sayin that something is "MOAB tested" is poppycock, if there is a spacer/blocks or a body lift instead of good coilovers/UCA's and a good rear leaf set up I would pass if you plan to wheel the vehicle off road. You could probably find a base model cheaper and do the mods yourself, right the first time instead of fixing/repairing/replacing someone else's BS.
