Carling/ARB type switch mount in the cig lighter panel?

Anyone manage to mount their ARB / Carling Contura switches in the 3 holes under A/C controls between cig lighter and power?

I've seen these mounted in every other possible position and found some inconclusive threads talking about it mounting it under the A/C controls, but havn't actually seen it done.

Took the panel out last night and measured the clearance. Would take some major hacking to get these large switches to fit. Not ready to take the dremel to the plastic yet, need some words of encouragement.

This is the type of sexiness I'm after:
