I have almost 90,000 miles with the DRL`s, they will discolor and fade yellow. Toyota dealer electrical rate (at least in OC) is $325, period. Since I was up until 12pm the night before freezing my ass off outside and was over it I called AAA at 6am and had them take it over. Picked it up $345 later. I must have grounded the main hot wire when trying to get them to work with the switch correctly. Popped the 100 amp fuse under the hood. Soooo - $345 later, very pissed at myself (been a mechanic for 35 yrs. and now teach HS Autoshop) it works fine. The only positive learned is a new lesson that I can pass on to my students, hopefully someone on the board will read this first, screw the switch and leave them off. The real bummer is I just spent $385 getting my triple webbers done for my Porsche 914/6 today. Expensive day

They only made 3300 total, 1970-72 - 1700 to the states. Mine`s a 1970 one owner machining #`s prod #547. Been stored for 10 years. I got it this last summer estate sale. Solid car but fuel and brake systems need complete rebuilds. You can build clones all day but this is the real deal. If you get one break out your checkbook, you have to hunt down the parts. Not a lot out there.

I agree 100% and they are reminded constantly, even doing menial tasks underhood. My bad was constantly trying to get it right then re-install the neg. That`s what bit me. On a side note my doors are always open at the shop. We`re located in Laguna Hills Ca. Lot`s of my students offroad and I always encourage people coming in to show off their trick rides and speaking to them about their passion of trucks and cars. We`re currently building a `66 F1OO from a $10,000 grant and a bad ass 69.5 Maverick - 300+ hp we built. We will be restoring a `28 ford coupe barnfind with documented drag and Bonneville racing next year. Can`t wait

I know I'm late to the party on this one as well (trying to get my post count up;)
But as far as your switch goes, all you had to put in was a two prong that would open and close the circuit. Flow/ No flow.
