Dating an indian girl -advice please.

Advice to the op. Don't sweat the small stuff. Just smell the sweet stuff. Keep dating her. Don't worry about the parents just yet. Way too early in the relationship.

 

Once dated a Korean girl and had the same situation. She was brought up to never date outside her race as was their tradition....Had a great time while it lasted - never worried too much about it cause I was having too much fun...

didnt read the entire thread.

i know alot of Indian people. it goes both ways..daughters and sons. my friend dated an Indian guy..same secret. as a matter of fact, he had already been promised to a girl. his wife was chosen already!! his "chosen one" was effen hot, and was running around with guys off all colors.

being an opportunist..i waited till the shit hit the fan, and hooked up with friend. it was awesome.

personally i wouldnt put up with half the shit. part of the fun of a relationship is hanging out with family openly. plenty of girls available that fit the bill.

you my friend are fighting against thousands of years of tradition. so dont hold your breath for a long healthy relationship. it aint gonna happen.

 

I might be wrong but here it goes... By the way, I am Indian but have never been to India and come from South Africa where our indian culture is very different from that of Indians from India... However, I can't seem to understand how her family would let her divorce especially from an arranged marriage ( which is the real taboo), but not allow her to date a white guy.... My guess, she has gotten to play this game a few times and might be playing you into believing that it would be taboo to bring the white boy home...

The other question is why in the world would you wanna meet her family after just two months of dating...

 

I don't think those parents hated you for the reasons you want to believe.
