Wow thinks everybody! It Seems like some of you have rubbing problems and some of you don't with the 33" I guess it all Depends on the kind of 3 inch lift you have.. But I'm not really going to have to Worry about power loss so that's good..

    this and that...
im lifted on a full icon setup and am running 33's (285/75/16). i had to trim just very slightly at the bottom of my fender (right where the flaps mount to). at full lock, i hit the cab mount, but its because im running spacers. if i didnt need the spacers because my rims touch my calipers i wouldnt hit the mount or have to trim. tbh, i didnt notice a loss for power and mpgs dont really concern me because i only use this truck like once a week.

yotaroader, Make sure you keep in mind NOT all 33in tall tires are created equal.

A good example of this is the 255/80/17 and 255/85/16 BFG Km2 It's nearly 33 1/2 inches tall but it's as narrow as the stock tires. This series of tire is considerably narrower than all other 33's and that narrow width gives you more room.

Before I lifted the 09 Rubicon I used to have I put a set of 255/80/17 KM2 BFG's on it at stock height and even at full flex they never rubbed. I had friends with 2 inches of lift on their Jeeps and with the wider 33's they would have some slight rubbing.

ok. Here is a quick answer.. All tires and wheels will fit differently on the same truck. If you look at tire rack.com for example. When you go to the website you will notice each wheel has a measurement of backspacing this backspacing is how far out the rim pushes your tire from your center well that's what you need to pay attention to. I have 4 inch back spacing with a 3 inch lift and my 265/70/17 work great. If you go with a higher backspace you can accommodate a wider tire, but if the wheel is fully compressed it could smack the top center of your fender.

I know we beat these posts to death, I just wanted to bring the backspacing issue to all the new forum readers
