Sorry, I trying not to hijack this thread too much. But since you went to the track all the time, how much did the Valve body shave off the 1/4 mile?

by itself...nothing. However, it allowed me to cleanly shift at 6200 rpm which you cannot do in the auto with that much power unless you want to break something.

bumping up to 6200 rpm keeps you in the ideal powerband while racing and allows you to ride out 3rd instead of going into 4th...and because of that it helped drop about 3-4 tenths

but dont do it for that, do the mod to keep the auto alive and happy, and its way more fun to drive ;)

Yeah, that's one thing that bugged me about this truck since it was supercharged already when I got it: How mushy the shifts were. That really bugs me.

For those that don't know this is a supporting mod. When you slip between gears it's more comfortable for the average soccer mom but the downside is this 'slipping' creates more heat and when more power is applied to this situation the problem is exasperated. Installing shift kits makes the shift happen quicker and more firmly which may not be measurable in performance it will be measurable in life-span of your transmission. It also feels better more sporty plus if you understand transmissions and how they work it feels better because you know the hard shifts mean your transmission isn't being destroyed.
