Hey all, I recently purchased a 2006 TRD Off Road with the tow package (It has the tranny and oil coolers, heavy-duty alternator, battery, pink fan base, etc.). For whatever reason, it appears that the previous owner replaced the bumper, but not the hitch. In addition, the tow plug itself is missing. I've found an OEM hitch to install, but does anyone know where I could find the tow harness with the 9-pin connector? (Other than the stealership) I'm just looking for the piece that plugs into the connector along the frame. Also, does that same harness include the wiring for the license plate lights? (That's missing, too!) And finally, is the tow package bumper any different from the "non" tow-package bumper? Thanks in advance!

Custom body work...boat trailer came of hitch, hit tailgate and Rammed stick thru lower valance while towing boat....hmmm, Maybe I should get a new boat?!?
I would try Layton Truck (Off Platte Avenue, between Circle and Union)...That's why I searched here for who makes the adapters...I bashed mine last year and ripped the cover off, still functions, but the connections are getting corroded. I know they'll have them, but I want a plug-n-play switch?

I know Wal-Mart, Lowes and Home Depot carry a few limited items for trailers?

I think I found mine through Amazon. It was much cheaper than Toyota.

I actually used a hole-saw on the bumper next to the license plate and mounted it in the bumper. Chevy does this and it's smart. It keeps the box from dragging and getting ripped off on steep departure angles.

I ripped mine off on the first trip to the ranch when I dragged coming out of a creek bed. I got one at Wal Mart. The only thing I did not like was it did not not have the wire diagram on the cover. I added some female flat tab connectors on the factory harness. If it happens again I can just unplug the old and plug in the new. I also mounted it a little higher. It was like $15 versus over a $100 at dealer. OEM unit comes with wiring harness which I did not need. I made a diagram of the wires before I cut them off the factory unit.
