So I'm looking at this Tacoma I found online in my area at a dealership. Funny thing is, after browsing here, I come to realize the previous owner of this truck is a member here and I saw his topic about the truck when he owned it.

Heres a link to that thread:

Heres a link to the dealerships website:

I've also sent a PM to the member on here who used to own it to get his take on it. As he will have some inside information to go on hopefully.

What are your thoughts on the price and everything? Thanks

Nice truck, cost looks normal... Low miles is a plus... Sine it is 2wd, will you be SAS'ing it?

Not planning on it, not anytime soon anyways. Plus I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to that kind of work. I also dont plan on doing any crazy offroading or mudding since it is a 2wd.

For a non TRD 2.7l 2wd, Price seems high to me.

For that low of miles, the price isn't too bad. When you add in the extras that are on it(I know this doesn't add resale value) it doesn't seem bad.

KBB lists it at $15,899 if buying from a dealer in your area.

It lists it at the following for private seller:
    Excellent: $11,924
    Very Good: $11,799
    Good: $11,399
    Fair: $10,524

I'd try getting them down to around $12,000 depending on if the previous owner says anything is wrong with it. I payed $100 over kbb value for mine which was worth it in my opinion.

I say once you get in contact with the previous owner on here, that will be the deciding factor on whether it's worth it or not. He has nothing to gain, so I'm sure he'll tell you anything that's wrong with it. Good luck!

Pretty solid ride for the price. I'm not personally a fan of 4cyl, but the bumpers, tires, kings, TC UCAs are all real nice additions. How does the engine look? You could drive it for 100k and sell it for decent $ if you keep it in good shape.
Maybe you can get them down a little and have them through in oil changes or something.

Yea exactly my thoughts. Every point you made are the things I've been thinking about. Hopefully he replies and gives some input.

Yea all those addons are pretty nice. The fact it is a 4 cyl and a 2wd are downsides though for sure. As far as the engine goes, not sure, no pics posted of it online. Havent gone into look at it in person at the dealership yet. Maybe the previous owner on here has some pictures.
