That's for poison ivy etc. It removes the proteins that cause inflammation in the poison. For a Second degree burn you'd just use lotion to keep moisture.

use barbasol shave cream. ONLY USE THE ORIGINAL not the menthol. u have to get the red/white striped can!!! this pulls the burn right out that very instant. u have to let the cream dissolve into yur skin.
