Thanks guys. I was looking into the 5100s and I'm confused on which ones to order. I'm looking for the plug and play option!! At the same time I'm kinda on the fence because I have been debating trading her in on an fj. We got a 13 TT Cement Gray at the dealer I work at that has rekindled my love for the beautiful machine!!! It would also be more practical for the three heathens I mean dogs I carry around.

I believe you just get 5100's specified for the Tacoma. Down south motors offers a discount for tacomaworld members i believe. If you want to achieve a full on lift youll have to set them higher in the front on stock coils (.85 or 1.75 notch) then get some type of lift for the rear. Or you can get new coils for the front 5100s and leave them set at 0.

I had the option of getting an fj which is a solid rig. The worse gas mileage and front fender tearing issue turned me away. Fender issue has been sort of reduced but still can happen.

Whole thread on it. Not so much of an issue anymore for current model fj cruisers as I believe toyota reinforced the area somewhat. Fj owners say it doesn't affect anything...really only cosmetic, however when I made my choice for the tacoma it really boiled down to preference so I decided in the truck. That and it's easier to see out of and gets slightly better mpg stock...though the fj isn't hard to get used to.

Are these the SCS F5 wheels you're talking about? If so, I would save my money and use it on something else, like a hard shell or tires or something. I don't think the F5 wheels will turn heads any more than your current wheels. If I'm going to drop several hundred dollars on a mod, I want it to be noticeable or make a difference in performance. JMO.

Wheels... (I'm sure this is someone here. Not sure who.)
