Honestly, I don't care if it's a millimeter or a foot long scratch, it's not new as when you took it in, be firm and really state how disappointed you are that Toyota has built a great reputation for quality and their dealership is messing it all up and since YOU were inconvenienced to clean it up YOURSELF, you should be compensated. Period. I've been a retail manager for over 17 years and have always taken care of the nice complainers. You have a valid claim. And remember YOU are the customer!

It would be better if you did it tomorrow. Otherwise if you wait to take it in when you get your new radio, it might be a different "idiot" who installs it. Then he will make a note that there is a scratch already on the dash before he started working. Then its your word or the first "idiot".
