Did my 12 AC OR come with...

... a TPMS in the spare? I finally got around to getting a full size spare tire(265/75-R16 duratrac). Dropped the OEM for the first time to take it in to the shop to have them remove the Rugged fail and put on my new Duratrac. Didn't pay much attention in the process. Well they got it mounted and balanced and I was on my way home when I looked at my invoice. And saw that they charged me $4 for tire disposal(which I took with me). And $2 for a valve stem. When I got home I looked and sure enough it has a fresh standard valve stem in it. I thought these trucks came with a TPMS in the spare as well. When I bought the truck new they put nitrogen in the tires. Well I never checked the spare since day one. So I'm not sure if I got shafted by the dealer or this shop that just swapped out my tire. Any thoughts?

 

Spare TPMS was eliminated in 2009 or 2010.
If the truck expected a sensor in the spare, your light would have flashed for the first minute or so the truck was running, and then would have remained on.

 

they stopped the tpms in the spare in 08 or 09

 

My '08 has one, so it must have been '09 then.

 

No TPMS in my '09 spare

 

My first gen Tundy had one so I wasn't sure. Thanks for clearing that up fellas.
