Did anyone here with the rear bumper have to remove the plastic pieces under the tail lights? My bumper went on without removing them, but I noticed my side armor plates seem like they're angled just a little bit different than the angle of the body line. The bumper seems straight under the tail lights and all, and it didn't seem like the bolt holes would allow for the bumper to tilt back and forth, but since the instructions did say removal of those pieces may be needed and the bumper is touching them I figured I'd ask if that may be the reason. Any ideas?

The bumper was designed to fit without the plastic pieces under the headlights. It fits much better with those pieces removed, I've tried it both ways.

So with them removed it may slide/tilt to line up correctly? I thought it might, but then was worried the bolt holes may not let it tilt that much regardless. I'll probably have to wait until next weekend to take it off and try it since I need help lol. Hopefully I can get it straight. Love these bumpers though, they're built extremely well and look awesome.

It should line up perfectly, I got it to line up perfectly on my truck when we did test fitting at the shop. They definitely take two people to install. Yeah, they are great bumpers, solid, well built, and good looks. I still kinda want one for my truck:D

Awesome, I knew it had to be something I did wrong lol, just was worried that even if I removed those pieces that the actual mounting holes wouldn't allow the bumper to tilt much.

Edited my previous post. Holes lined up just fine on my truck with the plastic pieces removed.

Mine still lined up and is bolted in place, that's why I was worried that it may not move regardless of those pieces, but I guess we will see. Definitely glad I decided to add the side plates to the order, I had never seen one of the rear bumpers in person but love the way the rear of my truck looks now.

The bumper has some play in it even with all the bolts in very loose. I'm not really a fan of plate bumpers at all, but after seeing the bumper on my truck I changed my mind, at least on the AP bumper.

I took mine out also. I talked to them directly and they said it HAD to be removed in order for it to fit correctly.
