    Hello guys...

I have a 2012 White Tacoma Off Road (4X4), and will be purchasing the SCS Stealth 6 (Bronze or Gunmetal).

I've looked through the forum and so far I understand that I can go as big as 265/70-17 on tire size without any rub. Is this depending on the tire brand? Thinking about BFG All-Terrain T/A KO or Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac.

As for the spare, do I need to find a 17" spare or can I use a 265/75-16 tire on my spare?

    Thanks again TacomaWorld.

I am pretty sure you will be ok with the 265 70 17 and its different on every truck as far as the rubbing goes. Might have to possibly trim the fender plastic a bit or maybe remove mud flaps if it scrubs at full lock. Doubt it though. I am about to run 265 70 17 on stealth 6 gunmetals and will be mounting and installing this weekend and will post pics. I also have 1.75" of lift on the front. I have compared the two tires sitting next to each other as far as the stock tire and the KO goes and its a decent size bigger and the offset of those wheels might make it rub when turning or hitting a bump at a turn. As far as the spare if you have a 17" wheel you can't put a 16" tire on it. If your replacing the wheel and tire you will probably be ok but not sure why you wanna do that.

What I meant with the spare is...

Would I have buy a 17" spare, tire and wheel? Or can I just use a 265/75-16 tire on the spare my Tacoma has?

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
as long as the tire is close to the overall diameter of the other tires being run, you are ok. i run 285/75/16's for street and another set for trails, but have a 285/70/17 spare.
