REI stores have a variety of classes that they offer - the bear class was one of them. It was presented by the guy who invented Counter Assault bear spray and the head bear biologist for MT. We have a class this Thursday in fact http://www.rei.com/event/50218/session/69297

Kinda got a few weird looks from people as we were testing out the fake bear spray in the parking lot

The closest store to you would be Spokane - not sure if they have a bear class though http://www.rei.com/stores/spokane.html

There is already reports of Wolf attack's where the first run is at. I'm not worried about the bears. Its the wolfs that get me. Remember where one wolf is there is several more you can't see.

No one is gonna shoot anything at anytime. Period.

Unless it is literally on top of someone else.

    Which isn't going to happen.

    Sheesh. Worry warts.

Besides everyone know the really threats are lions. And you never see them.

Live on the edge a little..quit worry about that stuff. I'm gonna be excited to see wolves or a bear personally...think it would be cool.

Ill have my dogs too...not that it'll be a defense haha they are babies..but they bark.

I'm much more worried about people making it out damage free.

That would be a not good decision...

We can go shooting on Wednesday. I don't care.

But not on the trail. No need for it.

Like Monte said, I don't think we need to worry much. And I've lived in the Wild West and worked in National Parks long enough, that I have bear and mountain lion info all off the top of my head. Like, I wrote this post completely off the top of my head, for the most part:

What precautions should I take to protect myself and my camp from bears?

We'll be fine. Plus, I'm gonna be in my hardsided tent.

I would love to see some wolves and bears though...
