REAR ENDED!!!

This is how my morning went!! We both had insurance and it was her fault while I was stopped at a red light. Looks like ill be getting a new bumper Which one to go with? Bruteforce or All Pro???

It looks minor enough that I seriously doubt there is anything else wrong with the truck other than the superficial. Of course measure the gap on both sides where the bed meets the front cab, then the gap on the top. Compare to another truck if you are in doubt, they should be close I'd imagine within a 1/4" of each other. If that area is pushed in at all, then you have a larger problem.

The top photo looks like there is a separation of the flare from the bed side. Do you need a new bed too?

 

Yeah she was only going probably 15mph and caught the edge of my bumper w her front bumper and her side mirror got my taillight so I dont think there would be anything major frame wise. Mainly bent bumper in good, got the side panel and broke the taillight, which means I get a new bumper I have been wanting so Ill have the insurance company give me a check for the bumper rip it off and buy a much better one!!! Dare ya to hit my new one!! Ill measure everything and make sure nothing serious is wrong with it.

 

I will need a new side passenger panel as it is bent in pretty good!! Dont think I need an entire new bed??

Yeah I had thoughts about it to this morning it happened im really not to mad bc I get it all repaired free and a new bumper

Hmm taller tires and 4" lift is safer, right? She might've missed the sheet metal?

 

Taller tires will be on as soon as my stealth 6 wheels are back in stock plus ill have a new better bumper by then as to the higher lift need more cash lol

 

No matter which bumper you get, it will still look messed up as long as that ugly Auburn tag is on there. Roll Tide!!

All kidding aside, glad everyone was ok and that the damage wasn't too bad (easy for me to say...it wasn't my truck).

 

Gonna get that keyed tailgate painted at the same time?

 

Def going to ask if they can include that in the process as well. I hate looking at that sh*&!!

 

Any opinions on what new rear bumper will suit my needs? I don't need a winch would like to keep my receiver or get a new one that fits behind the rear bumper. I don't do any off roading but want something that can handle another person rear ending me as Pensacola FL drivers suck!!! And of course something that looks bad ass...

 

Should I have the repair shop trash my bumper or should I try and sell it for scrap metal, also taillight is toast unless yall can think of use for it??

 

Scrap the bumper. Usually, the repair places sell the stuff as scrap to help offset costs. Let them have it, it's only worth a couple bucks at most.

 

That's what I was curious about and thanks. Probably no point in me trying to do anything with it anyways.
