I have a 2012 access cab and am interested in putting a leer 100xl on it. The bed doesn't have rails where a C clamp would fit like my chevy truck. How is it attached? Clamps in the side slide rails? Does the plastic top on the bedsides have to be removed first?

Pictures of how it is attached would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

Edited to add I think I answered my own question. Found some pictures on Cape Codders gallery that shows clamps in the slide rail. Would delete post but can't figure out how.

Just took mine off again last night but didn't take any pictures. There are aluminum inserts that slide into the existing tracks on the Tacoma bed rails. These aluminum inserts are threaded for bolts. The Leer cap has four little extended bits (one at each corner) that have holes in them. A bolt goes through the extended bit and threads into the aluminum insert in the track.

I have a 100XL on mine. Love it!

It attatches to the side bed rails. No C-clamps needed like older model trucks.

This. It's a nice, secure mount that allows pretty easy removal and reattachment of the cap. My installer recommended checking the bolts every couple of months to prevent loosening, but I haven't had any issues with it in the 13 months I've had the cap.

If someone doesn't beat me to it, I'll post pics tonight.
