For those heading down to Key West, stop in at Cheeseburger on Duval Street. The service is pretty lousy but they serve the best damn burgers I have ever had. Been there twice, and both times it was the best burger ever. Go for the one with the slice of pineapple on it and wash it down with a monster Mai Tai.

Martie and I drove down in my Tacoma about a month ago. Freaking fun town!!

You won't have any trouble walking around the town. Parking can range from $10-$15 but there's a spot there where after a certain time in the afternoon you can park for $5 for 3 hrs. That's where I would park when I went down to see the sunsets. It's actually easier to get around on the scooters or a bike but it can be hard finding a free parking space for them and the parking meters are 25 cents for 10 minutes! You are going to have such a great time. :)

Ok, I am going back there. Didn't really do much but sit on the beach and drink. Other than that, did some snorkeling, Parasailing and spent some time on a Jet Ski. Fun trip.

I was amazed at how beautiful it is down there. Here's a few pictures...

Didn't get to stay there as long as I wanted to. I recommend going there to anyone. Had a blast.

We stopped at that Burger Joint on the first night. It was good, but I can't say mine was amazing.

The best food we had was at the Cuban place by Mallory Square. Never had Cuban food before, but that place was the shiet.

You know, you go, and it's like.... "it's just a cheeseburger, how good can it be?"

It's the best damn cheeseburger I've ever had. There's just nothing that I can compare it to.

And was it good? Just asking, as I consider myself a Burger Connoisseur, and I may have to give this a try.

it was different, but good. It was more of a Caribbean sweet flavor.

Ya'll are bringing back some sweet memories...

First went there on a high school graduation trip, 100+mph toxic chemical induced 900 mile ride down, Beautiful rooms, views, women(or were they men?) good food and unbelievable snorkling excursions, bar hopping till dawn, breakfast at tiny houses serving cuban breakfast biscuit things, french cruise ship girls, local girls, 5 wrecked moped rentals... and as the money ran out and we got familiar with the place, we hung for a few days with a pirate/bum named captain kid who would dress his labrador retriever in 12 volt(jimmy buffet 12 volt man?) christmas lights and beg money from tourist on Duval, getting drunker and drunker till dawn. Then we'd stagger to the hobo jungle in the swamp off the east end of the island, pallets made the trail to the settlement. Wow, what an adventure, what memories.

Went again for a honeymoon, now 14 years ago and had a similar crazy adventure where we bopped from bar to bar, danced with crazy alternates and reveled in the most unsightly debauchery. We did win an air guitar contest at sloppy joes. Wrecked moped put my new wife in the hospital and i almost died from some crazy bacterial/pneumonia combo.

The reefs are the most beautiful i've ever seen. So are the sunsets. So are the people. So is the attitude. So are the 6 toed cats.

Wish i was on my way, thanks for the memory jog..J
