I know this is going to sound weird.....but has anyone found a 12 volt vacuum small enough to fit in the storage compartment under the driver side rear seat in a crew cab???

I don't use that space for anything right now, so I thought it would be nice to keep a small vacuum in there, because my truck gets dirty quick.

I would think that a vacuum would draw too much power, when you switch it on, and constantly blow a fuse.

12V doesn't necessarily mean it would be powered by the cigarette lighter that has a relatively low amperage rating. Many accessories such as compressors will connect directly to the battery instead of the cigarette lighter. If you did want to run it from the cigarette lighter and the stock fuse wouldn't handle the load, you could easily run thicker wires and a larger in-line fuse to beef it up.

They built a 12v vacuum into the trunk area. I figured you saw that and it sparked the creative juices.
