I have a 2006 Tacoma PreRunner double cab and i have 255 75 R16 on it now and I have an opportunity to get super cheap brand new 225 75 R16 BF Goodrich tires. I know that is a drop in size but will it be bad for the truck. this is the daily driver and I have a 2003 tacoma 4x4 for the woods so just don't want to pass up a good deal? Is it worth it? advise please?

225 is a really small tire for a 4x4 double cab. It will look really weird IMO I guess if you dont care about the goofy looks im sure it will be fine, Just changing the diameter of the tire wont affect much.

Your tire diameter will be off by a couple inches meaning your speedometer will be off by about 6%. So if your speedo says 65 you will really be going ~61. Not too bad, in 50k miles you will have accumulated an extra 3k miles on your odometer that you never really drove.
