    I am desperately seeking help.

    Truck: 2003 3.4L V6. 75,000 miles. TRD Supercharger, URD 7th Injector.

My truck just started doing it a few weeks ago. No previous issues ever with the truck. After shifting from 2-3 or 3-4 or 4-5 under load up a steep hill on way to work, truck stalls. No rev, and it doesnt feel like clutch slip. I down shift and give gas as I've lost a ton of speed and it runs ok. Get to 4K RPM and shift again and STALL. It has done it about 6 times all under load, all with a new tank of gas (not sure if that makes a difference).

It kind of feels like my throttle is slipping or just not opening :notsure:

No codes, no check engine light. And Its sporadic and I can't reproduce it. I need to fix it as its dangerous merging on this steep busy hill and losing all speed. Any help would be awesome. Thank you dudes.

    ...too much shit to list.
My guess is the APPS sensor on the DBW throttle body. Only 2003-2004 tacomas have them. Problem is you can't buy just the APPS sensor, you have to buy the entire TB for $1000 as the APPS and TPS are synchronized together or some crap. The APPS sensor is the sensor on the front side of the TB. If memory serves me, there are 4 screws that hold it in. If you open it up, you can see there's a safety feature in the sensor where you'll still have like 1/4 cable driven throttle if the sensor completely fails to limp off the road which is kinda what sounds like is happening.

Where do you live? I bought a complete used TB with 65k miles when I was troubleshooting my throttle issues. You can borrow it if you want to see if it solves your problem...just pay for shipping. I'd also part with it for what I paid for it ($250) if it does fix your problems.

Since you are supercharged, if you don't live in a heavy freeze area, you should bypass the coolant lines that run thru the TB. Everything I've read about the APPS sensor is they shit the bed cause of heat after supercharging.

Ok thanks man. I'm gonna do some homework and have some friends smarter than me take a look. I'm in Seattle area so ill let you know if it comes down to switching tb. So it wouldn't throw any codes I'm guessing and would it make since it runs awesome 90% of the time but does this shit occasionally? It's pretty fu&king dangerous when it does. Also, doesn't sound like o2 sensors or cat problems at all like you were experiencing? Thanks man

Yep, APPS sensor won't throw any codes...pain in the ass.
Definitely not like my issue. Mine was a subtle surge, not complete loss of power.
