What do you guys who own double cab 2000-2004 with the 3.4 v6 4x4 get per gallon? I am talking stock or very close to stock. Auto or straight?

I am interested but spoke with a buddy of mine yesterday who said he only gets 12 mpg with extended cab straight trans. He may have just been guessing and made a (bad) guess but thats bs if thats all these will get. Mpg is why I didnt buy a new truck.

My 2002 which I just ran my first tank of gas thru gets just a shade under 22 mpg (21.765) , its a 4 cyl 4x4 straight stock tires and thats here in the mountains and just running it around town.

I think Id like the extra room but not at the cost of 7-8 mpg.

Give me some ideas on mpg please? Thank you

1st gen double cabs only came in auto from factory.

for me, 18-19 during the winter days, 19-20 on a good warm day pretty much stock without my shell, all with conservative driving and with only little hypermiling techniques.

I just bought my second truck which is a v6 double cab

Ultra Guage read great mileage on the highway. Around 20-22

In town not so great. Especially for ,e as the truck never warms up since it's a small town. But if you have a larger area you drive around in I'd bet about 16-18 city. I'm getting 14 now. But I can drive across my town in less the 4 mins haha
