So I painted my emblems black and went to put the tailgate emblem back on. Because of the thickness of the tape, there is a little space between the truck and the emblem. Did anyone else run into this problem?

I used this too. However, how bad is it sticking out? Try pressing on it some more to close the gap. this tape is good, and it will definitely hold the badges on.

    She's gone but not forgotten.
I stuck my emblems back on with black RTV. Was worried it was gonna fall off, until I decided I put one back on just a tiny bit crooked, went to take it off. It was stuck just as hard as the OEM tape.

You can sand them down a little bit or use adhesion promotor. I sanded them down a bit before applying the paint

Stick on hood scoop from Autozone.

There's clips in the back, it's pretty easy but be careful. The clips are weak.
