Purchased a new 2013 Tacoma Double Cab 4WD
    Stock at this time.
Good day to everyone here at Tacoma World.

My wife and I just purchased a new 2013 Tacoma Double Cab Short Bed TRD with Offroad package 4WD V-6 5 speed automatic and the color is Barcelona Red. This will be her daily commuter and we will use it on the weekends to go flyfishing, snowshoeing, and skiing in the great Rocky Mountains.

I have a list of modifications I will be starting soon. Many of the items I have researched on this site and I have already decided what brand, etc I want to install.

However some items I am still researching.

We are going to keep the stock tires and wheels and bumpers for the time being. However the tires will be replaced probably with KM2's or Duratracs in the 33" size as well as both bumpers in the future. I will probably keep the stock rims or maye try to locate some FJ rims.

I want to protect the undercarriage, etc. What skidplates do you recommend I install? We are not going to use this vehicle for rock climbing however we will be offroad and on many forest service roads here in Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, and Montana.

I want to lift the vehicle 2" to 3". I want a quality lift so I can install an ARB bumper on the front and possibly a Kaymar rear bumper. We really liked the Baja edition, but we thought we could get more bang for our money doing it ourself.

What lift do you suggest? I know there must be builds here that I can look at. I have seen reference to Icon and Total Chaos and Old Man Emu.

I would appreciate recommendations and or tell me who has a vehicle here I can look at.

    Thanks for reading.
