I disagree on the bumper. I know many people who run TG and addicted bumpers. They are both around the $500 range and they do just fine. And those guys wheel almost every weekend.

Yeah just depends on what you want. I will be putting a tube bumper on the build I'm doing now. I had an ARB on my last one and that was the reason it was totaled. The bumper shifted the whole motor over after I was hit.

Ok, so Cali is crazy, but you can still buy. :) Maybe you can't own a .50 cal, but that's why they have the California .499'ers.. lol They are NOT .50 cal.. hahahahaha

Besides AR's are the ONLY think I don't have in my safe that I still want.

Yea I'd really like a plate bumper but I think right now it'd be wiser for me to get a tube bumper of some kind (maybe even just bull bars) and focus on getting it lifted.

I think I'm going to buy some 5100's first thing and bring up the front to level.

There are only a few things I would buy from JCW.

Roof rack to go on the shell? Sure.
    Side step rails? Sure.
    Hellwig sway bar? Sure.

That bumper, and 99% of the rest of the shit they sell?
    Hell no.
    Especially not at that price.

They look okay head-on or even on a front 3/4 view.
Look at one from the side.
They absolutely kill your approach angle, and really look a bit like an ugly kid with an underbite.

If not a bull bar, what should I be looking at for mounting lights? If I'm not getting a full bumper yet (which I'm not for a bit, need to save for one) I at least want something I can mount some additional lighting to.

Also that being said, I don't want to be paying stupid amounts of money for a bar of metal. I've seen a few simple light bars that cost wayyy to much money for a little bar of metal.

This is a good option. I had an nfab light bar when I first got my 2nd gen an it was pretty sturdy. But to be honest if you are just doing it for looks I would spend your money else where. Of all the rigs I've built and put lights on. I barley ever used them.
