Thank man for the help on the thread and the other :D will give her a tightening as soon as I have time this week.

This kinda makes sense as well as my only other vehicle I have owned was a jeep yj renegade with smaller tires than the tacoma. Causing me sometime to remember that bigger tires take longer to stop..... but ^ this with the AC makes sense. Hoping that is all it is.

Going to look for that tsb list to see if there is anything that looks like this.

Again thanks to everyone for your time! Mucho appreciated!

Agreed. My '13 does this, and I don't notice unless I'm only resting my foot on the brake pedal after coming to a complete stop.

My 2010 has been doing it since it was new also. It's A/C related.

    Embrace the thump!

Well seems pretty common then, that is nice to know :)

But the thump feels like it is coming from behind...

Wow, I guess im the lucky one......I had no idea so many of you have issues with this (with a/c off).

I mean a/c on is no surprise to me and is easily accounted for which is why I never worried.......

    But with a/c off?

That's gotta be insanely annoying

I have it on very hard stops only....I usually ease pressure on the brake after a hard stop and let the suspension/drive line settle then go back to regular pressure to hold the truck still, that way when I let off the gas fully, its not quite a shock.

If I ever buy a go pro, ill mount it under the truck and do some stops. Im sure I have some since it is the nature of the leaf springs, but maybe the thinner icon aals make it a softer transition on normal stops?

Anyone near san luis obispo with a go pro?
Take ya for a ride :)

My 2012 has done it from day 1, I keep my foot on the brake. And don't play with my cell phone and. I have been fine.
