My 2011 DC has a 3" lift all the way around with BFG Rugged Ter. 265/70R/17's. I've read for hours all the posts regarding this subject.

This afternoon I rotated the Carrier Bearing and the vibration was slightly better. I added 3 washers on each side and then only one but no help...only worse.

My problem seems to be 5-30 with both accelerate and decelerate....then 70-75.

One thing I noticed yesterday before I did the CB flip....I had my boat hooked up and the weight pushed the rear end down exactly 2 inches. Out on the road the vibe was much better. Disconnected the boat and back to the same thing.

I need a Senior Member to tell this Senior Newbie what he thinks.

Thank you. I've read this one and will re-read again tomorrow. Any ideas about how the weight of the boat trailer changed the vibration?

Putting weight on the back will rotate the rear axle upward similar to what axle shims do

Driveline angles are an interesting journey

Sometimes you need to adjust the rear axle , sometimes the CB and sometimes both

Nope on the shims. Was hoping the CB adjustment would get me where I need to be cause its so easy....(I'm old and lazy). Really hoping the shims aren't needed. Guess I'll have Topytec send the CB Drop for $13.00 and go from there. It is probably pointless to talk with the Dealer as my problem requires thought.

    read build thread
cb drop helped mine, but didn't fix immediately.

then a couple months later, *poof* vibes gone all of a sudden.

but for mass produced trucks, everyone seems to have a different story with vibes and fixes from what ive read. :)

That is a very interesting observation. I thought I was going crazy. The vibe changed a little bit this eveing on the way home from work. I'm going to try the drop kit and keep everything crossed. I don't want to do the axle shims if I don't have to.

Have a good evening and thanks for your comment.
