no..there is no pinch weld on the rear fenders.

however id look at some relocation plates instead. Its very common that the 01-04 axles sit a tad too far forward. So you can just get some plates that move the axle back either 3/4'' or 1''. 3/4'' seems to put it dead center. Then you don't need to trim it for 33s.

ok so heres my delema with the axle relocation plate.... moving the leaf spring tit into a different hole in the axle relocation plate would then make the u bolts not center properly, they would be at an angle with the bump stop/ u bolt guide. lastly the axle would set at a different spot on the leafs. (not the center of the leafs any more) depending on which side of the leafs could effect axle wrap since it will gain a tendanct to torque one way over the other??

    No. you have it backwards

We're talking about a maximum change of 1". Even if there was an increase in axle wrap it won't be noticeable. Think about the kind of leverage created by guys using lift blocks. They still wheel their trucks, drive on the road. while they probably have more axle wrap as a result of the blocks, nobody is breaking pinions and blowing u-joints every other day. A relocation plate is not going to do anything.

As for the ubolts being at an angle. That's not how they work. The ubolt plates move the same distance as the axle so it all still lines up. The slot for the spring center pin will probably need to be enlarged if you're using the stock ubolt plates. The only reason it wouldn't line up is if the slot on the ubolt plate for the spring center pin isn't long enough to allow for the change in distance. If it's not, it's an easy mod to make that hole larger so it all lines up correctly.
