FS: Like New Cobra 75 WX ST

As the title states I have a barely used Cobra 75 wx st cb radio for sale.
SOLD!!!!!!!!!!

I have only used it about 5 times, 3 of those being on trail rides. The reason I am wanting to get rid of it is because I am in the process of getting a Cobra 29 lx that I have been eyeballing and drooling over for a while now.

this is a pic of it installed, I still have the original box and paperwork it came with and will be putting it in that when sold.

im from winston county, but im stationed up in virginia. ive got a cobra 29 chrome but i just dont like how big it is. i want something smaller and i think the 75 would be good

 

i can send you a pic of what i got if you want. its peaked and tuned with a swing kit

 

i have no idea what peaking and swinging means but you can shoot a pic and let me know what you have in mind.

is it the lx or the ltd?

not gonna lie though, dont know what to think about the swing and peak stuff...

its the cobra 29 ltd chrome. basically the radio is set to be at its best performance. the swing kit is used to gain "extra" modulation. It over modulates so the carrier power varies (swings) with audio rate. it helps keep you on one channel instead of bleeding over a few higher or lower. and being peaked and tuned just means that the power on the radio is peaked out. they usually come stock at about 70-80%. this one is turned all the way up so that it will reach further more easily. and being tuned is just that. it is tuned to receive the best frequency. basically the radio is set to be at its best performance.

 

what antenna and cable (length) did you run on that? any special additional grounding needed for the antenna or anything?

I was leaning towards the 29 lx, just for the digital readout and the ability to change the backlight color. a supervisor i work with has one and i really like it. ive got a good old 29 ltd in my work truck so i know how good those are out of the box! no telling how far you are getting out with yours!!!

I used an 18' coax with a 4' Francis antenna. No special grounding needed

 

so would it be compatible with 18' coax and a 3' tuneable firestik?

Hahaha I been everywhere man!! And I just saw the thread. Why? U sell it? I've already got that cb and I love it. I got a buddy that wants one but won't buy one so I was gonna buy this for him

 

gonna go to a 29 instead. i apparently do too much bouncing around while off road and it seems that everytime i set the mic down and drive then pick it back up its on another channel or ive muted it or locked something or who knows what cuz i hit buttons the entire time!! so even though its a great little guy it doesnt fit my needs well.
