i am wondering if my 22re in a 89 toy pickup (Xtracab) 186 000 Km not miles is weak or it is made like this. under 2700 rpm on the 2 speed ..(sorry my bad english guys.) it is so weak it take like 20 secs to go up in rpm on a small hill really small hill like 5 degree angle hill. compared to my toy celica Gt 1.8 .. i looked at the specs 22re 98hp if i remember well and vvti 1.8 is 142. there is a huge difference on de pedal is that normal ? i never had a 22re re befaure this is my first toy pickup. if you need know more information ask it. i had in mind that probably O2 sensor was fucked up or something ? thanks you!

Is 31 inches larger than the stock tire diameter? If it is, then the higher gear ratio is helping to make your truck sluggish. My 2012 truck came with big heavy 245/75/16 tires. When I went back to the stock diameter 235/60/16 tires, it really perked up. :)

I used to have a 1988 longbed and loved its simplicity and utility. :)
