That exact same thing happened with my Great Dane. Except my gf saw and flipped out on me bc I wanted to see what he was going to do in the bed while I was slowly driving. Well at least my Dane is so tall that when I stopped he stood on his back legs! My Danes 6' tall when on his back paws.

Reminds me of 25 yrs ago I was dating a girl that had a pit bull that kept jumping her fence. She lived way out in the country so he was ok to roam around. He'd even jump back into the yard. But she didn't like for him to just run free. So one night she shows up at my house in the next town. She says the dog will be ok since she put him on a chain. The next morning she tells me she chained him to the fence. I know!!!!!!!!!!!! By the time we got there he was long since dead. I told her he probably would be. Every time he jumped over the chain link fence, his chain got a little shorter until he finally hung himself. His back feet were off the ground. It was a bad day. Of all the things in the yard she could've chained the dog to.

That could've been a lot worse man. Glad to hear your dog is ok. It wasn't his time. Thanks for sharing. Many people can learn from our mistakes.

won't have to worry about him jumping out, yet he'll be able to have lots of air. You can hang a water bucket in the corner and put some shade cloth up when you stop for shade.
