Okay guys this is annoying as hell. I installed some wheel spacers a month or so ago and ever since then, my steering wheel vibrated when driving over approx 50MPH. Today when we put my new tires on (285/75/16), i went and got them balanced, then went and got a front end alignment. The steering wheel and the whole truck shakes horribly and it is barely drive-able without being shook to death.

    Any clues??

I was thinking maybe a warped wheel spacer since it started with them to begin with? Debating whether to take the tires off, remove the spacers and try driving a few miles to see if it still shakes or not, and if not then I just need to buy new wheel spacers. The only problem with that would be the tires would rub the UCA and I don't know if it would mess up the UCA or the tire driving the little bit with it rubbing.

Any input is great, thanks TW!

You know it's the wheel spacers since that's when it started. Perhaps one is slightly misaligned causing the tire oscillate. Best thing to do is take them off, test the truck to be sure with them off. Put them back making sure they are installed correctly. Test. If problem still exists then there is a problem with the spacers.

maybe you have to use a torque wrench to make sure they are all even. after all, when you put the wheels and tires further out, that puts more leverage on the steering

Make sure the spacers you use are Hub Centric and Not Lug Centric.

    It makes a difference.

Spidertrax are good quality adapters. As mentioned above, take the spidertrax off and take it for a test drive. If/when you bolt them back on, make sure the surface is clean and that they're seated properly. Torque the lugs to spec, 85-86ft lbs. Also make sure your wheels are clean and there's no gunked up mud/dirt clinging on inside the barrel.
